EVERY Wednesday Night!

New York City’s hottest open mic in the heart of Queens’ cultural mecca and in the coolest coffee spot around – COFFEED in Long Island City.

Produced by the long-running independent performance series, The Inspired Word, which has featured Grammy winners, American Idol finalists, Golden Globe Award winners, Emmy nominated actors, and HBO Def Poetry stars, this open mic is open to ALL types of performing artists – musicians (singer/songwriters, acoustic guitarists, pianists, vocalists), comedians, poets, fiction/nonfiction writers, playwrights, spoken word artists, storytellers, performance artists, dancers.

25 performance slots, 6-minute time limit for anything spoken, 7 minutes for anything musical. 

We are dedicated to celebrating the best of Queens’ performing arts and developing a warm local artistic community.

Time: 7pm

Admission: $7 for audience member or solo performer (pre-pay through this page and bring one audience member/non-performer friend FREE), $10 for performance duos (also +1 audience member/non-performer friend free option), $12 for performance groups of 3 or more performers (+2 audience members/non-performer friends free).

One item (food or drink) minimum inside venue per person. 

This is a very popular open mic. You can pay online or at the door, but we STRONGLY suggest you purchase a ticket in advance to guarantee a performance slot.


In addition to amazing coffee and pastries, red and white wine, as well as Astoria-based Single Cut beer, are available for purchase.

No age limit.
